Publication Ethics

The Journal of Sustainability & Futures Innovation (JSFI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. The journal adheres to the ethical principles set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers are expected to maintain integrity and transparency throughout the publication process.

Duties of Authors

  • Authors must present original work that has not been previously published or under consideration elsewhere.

  • All sources of data and references must be properly cited.

  • Plagiarism, falsification, or fabrication of data is strictly prohibited.

  • Authors should clearly disclose any potential conflicts of interest and acknowledge financial or institutional support.

  • In case of significant errors discovered after publication, authors are obliged to promptly notify the editor and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions.

Duties of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for fair and unbiased decision-making, ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated based solely on academic merit.

  • Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials for personal research without the author’s consent.

  • Editors should take responsive measures when ethical complaints are raised, including investigation and correction if necessary.

Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to improve the quality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of the review process and not use information from the manuscript for personal advantage.

  • Any conflict of interest that may affect the impartiality of the review must be disclosed to the editor.

Duties of the Publisher

  • The publisher ensures that good practices are applied consistently to support integrity in scholarly communication.

  • The publisher is responsible for safeguarding the scholarly record and cooperating with editors, authors, and reviewers in cases of suspected misconduct.

JSFI takes publication ethics seriously and will take necessary action in response to ethical breaches, including issuing corrections, retractions, or reporting misconduct to relevant institutions.
