Author Guidelines
The Journal of Sustainability & Futures Innovation (JSFI) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of sustainability studies and innovation. Authors are requested to carefully follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in English, clear, and free of grammatical errors.

Only original works that have not been published or are not under consideration elsewhere will be accepted.

All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process.

Authors must comply with the Plagiarism Policy (maximum 20% similarity and ≤2% per source, checked with Turnitin).
-
The journal applies an open access policy under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license.
2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally be organized into the following sections:

Title – concise and informative (maximum 15 words).

Author(s) and Affiliation(s) – full name(s), institution(s), city, country, and corresponding author’s email.

Abstract – maximum 250 words, summarizing purpose, methodology, main findings, and implications.

Keywords – 4–6 keywords separated by semicolons.
-
Introduction – background, research gap, objectives, and significance.
-
Literature Review / Theoretical Framework (if applicable).
-
Methods – research design, data collection, and analysis.
-
Results and Discussion – findings, interpretation, and implications.
-
Conclusion – summary of key results, limitations, and future directions.

Acknowledgments (if any).

References – formatted consistently (see Section 5).
3. Formatting Guidelines

Manuscript length: 5,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
-
Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced.
-
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
-
Page numbers must be included.
-
Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially and placed close to the related text with appropriate captions.
4. Submission Preparation

The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
-
Ensure that the submission file has been anonymized to support the double-blind review process (remove author names and affiliations in the manuscript file).

Authors must declare that the manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been submitted elsewhere.
5. References
-
Use APA Style (7th Edition) for all citations and references.
-
All references must be cited in the text and listed in the reference section.
-
Preferably use at least 70% recent references (last 10 years) from reputable journals or publishers.
6. Publication Fees
-
JSFI applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support open access dissemination.
-
Details on APC and possible waivers/discounts will be provided on the journal’s website.
7. Ethics and Malpractice
-
Authors must follow the Publication Ethics guidelines of JSFI.
-
Any form of plagiarism, data falsification, or duplicate submission will result in immediate rejection.
8. How to Submit
-
Manuscripts should be submitted via the Online Submission System available on the JSFI website.
-
Authors are encouraged to check their manuscript thoroughly before submission.
